Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new PlayStation VR model.
The new CUH-ZVR2 model comes with updated mechanics to further improve end-user comfort, better cable management, and more – including:
Stereo headphone jack in the rear of VR headset. The cable wiring is integrated into the VR headset by the connection of enclosed stereo headphones.
Consolidate cables connecting the VR headset and processor unit to a slim, single cable.
Processor unit now supports HDR video pass-through.
The Japanese release is set for October 14th, while the western release date hasn’t been confirmed just yet. The new model will also come in a bundle with the PlayStation Camera.
