We’ve learned (via an 8-4 representative) that the New Nintendo 3DS is getting Unity 3D development support.
Previously, Nintendo had been looking into bringing Unity 3D support to the original Nintendo 3DS, but sadly we haven’t heard of anything since then. However, this new development is certainly exciting, despite it seemingly only being available to games coming to the New 3DS. It’s worth mentioning that developers making games for the Wii U have been empowered with Unity support for quite some time.
The news was confirmed at a Unite 2015 Tokyo event in Japan:
We’ll keep you guys posted.
