New Let It Die Interview Explains Core Mechanics

GungHo Online Entertainment has shared a new developer diary for Let It Die, their upcoming free-to-play PlayStation 4 game.

Featured above, the second developer diary features an interview with Game Director Hideyuki Shin, who discusses the origins of the game, as well as its core mechanics. The interview is hosted by Uncle Death, the game’s skeletal mascot.

Shin describes the game as a “beefy roguelike, hack and slash game.” He goes on to point out that the goal of the game is to reach the “TOP” without dying, otherwise you start over. He even teases that they’ve added “a ton of action” so they can “fill the void left by other action games.”

Let It Die is being developed under Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda, Grasshopper Manufacture, and GungHo Online Entertainment. It’s set for a release on PlayStation 4 sometime later this year.
