Fans have discovered a new Elden Ring update made Malenia a lot harder, making a later boss in the game even more challenging.

While a previous update accidentally nerfed a boss – who quickly got buffed in a later update, fans began noticing the new Elden Ring update made Malenia a lot harder.

Trying to avoid spoilers, Malenia is an optional boss you can encounter later in the game, and if you’ve been following Elden Ring at all, she’s also been prominently shown in its promotional stuff.

The actual fight involves an enemy with not only a large health pool but very damaging attacks, the new Elden Ring update made Malenia a lot harder by reportedly enabling her to automatically heal, without needing to attack you.
