New Details About Bloodborne’s Hub, the Hunter’s Dream, and the Latest Trailer

Following the launch trailer, Sony Computer Entertainment have released an extended cut of the ARPG’s TV commercial.  Watch the video above.

The main hub of the game, which will be used as a home base, is called the Hunter’s Dream. Players can access the Hunter’s Dream from anywhere in the game world where there is a lantern. IBlood Echoes are Bloodborne’s currency, which are earned by hunting beasts and completing quests; they can be used to purchase items from the shop in the Hunter’s Dream, and to repair and strengthen weapons. Weapons can be further improved, and even given special characteristics, by attaching special items called Blood Gems to them. The Hunter’s Dream also contains a Memory Altar, which allows players to improve their characters via Caryll Runes, which will, for example, allow them to carry more items, or boost the amount of Blood Echoes gained from killing beasts.

The Playstation Blog also reveals that players who have an official Playstation Gold, Silver or Pulse Elite headset can download a custom Bloodborne Audio Mode through their Headset Companion App, which has “been tuned specifically to bring the unique world of Yharnam to life”.

Bloodborne will be available in North America on March 24, Japan on March 26, and Europe on March 27. It’s a Playstation 4 exclusive.
