My Arms Are Longer Now preview at PAX East 2026

My Arms Are Longer Now

When you hear the name Jackbox Games, you probably think of wild times at parties or having a fun game night with friends. Over the last decade plus, Jackbox Games has become known as the developer that creates mostly fun co-op party games.

Although some of their most recent entries have not garnered the same excitement as earlier editions, we still enjoyed Jackbox Party Pack 10 and Jackbox Party Pack 11.

At PAX East 2026, we met with Jackbox Games once again to preview an upcoming game that they will be publishing in the near future; this upcoming game is called My Arms Are Longer Now and is being developed by Toot Games.

Due to time constraints, we only had a few minutes to check out My Arms Are Longer Now next to the Jackbox Party Pack Stage. For the meeting, a Jackbox Games representative ran us through the demo, showing us the core concept of the gameplay.

For those who want to try it for themselves, there will be a demo available on Steam; just make sure to keep an eye on the game’s Steam page. My Arms Are Longer Now keeps the comedic elements that Jackbox Games is known for while focusing on single-player gameplay.

The game has you play as a mysterious hand that can stretch in long and unusual ways. The actual story focuses on a detective investigating rumors of a mysterious arm that has supernatural abilities, or secretly, Mr. Fantastic has turned to a life of crime.

For the demo, they showed off two sections of gameplay and teased a later stage in the game. For the first section, we see the mysterious arm break out of the floor, steal a ruffian’s apple, and then slap them for even considering complaining.

Once he has been dealt with, the arm uses the safety hammer to break the glass surrounding the emergency door release. In the next car, we see three passengers mind their own business; it is then our job to secure as much money as possible from that car.

Up first is pickpocketing anyone in a discreet manner. Once their pockets are picked clean, we must find ways to steal anything else that is valuable. In the back, you can see a secured briefcase that appears to be worth a lot of money.

Before being able to steal the briefcase, the arm must deal with other situations. By wrapping around the bike and retracting back quickly, the arm is able to steal it for financial gain.

By reading context clues, the player is able to figure out what to do next in case they get stuck. After securing the bike, the next obstacle was the barking dog keeping the other passenger awake. With disturbances potentially being reported, a ticket inspector wants to see everyone’s pass.

Despite being able to move around the car freely after presenting a stolen pass, you cannot just steal the briefcase. Instead, you will need to pickpocket the sleeping passenger to get their keys. In order to do so discreetly, another safety hammer can be used to break the glass in the car.

With all the glass broken, you can pickpocket the passenger from outside the window and then take the key to the briefcase to uncuff it. With the briefcase free, the arm is free to drag back the loot without any opposition or screams.

In the last section of gameplay that we got to preview, you can see how intricate puzzles will get on later levels, with the player having to plan out their movements and use the terrain and obstacles to their advantage. This can mean trapping a child on a bike or a mower in an endless loop.

While the concept of My Arms Are Longer Now seems like it could be a lot of fun, it will ultimately come down to execution and storytelling. Based on what we saw at PAX East, the narrative appears to be going in the right direction with both serious and comedic elements.

In a way, My Arms Are Longer Now reminded us of the Untitled Goose Game; we just hope that it doesn’t try to focus too heavily on delivering punchlines and rather tells an interesting tale while delivering interesting and complex puzzles.

Based on what we could see from the demo, the art looks like it draws inspiration from other Jackbox titles as well as the cartoon Smiling Friends. The game’s overall controls seem like they will be easy to use when playing the levels, and that the real difficulty will come from having to strategically decide how you want to maneuver the incredibly long arm.

At the end of the day, we all want to be able to enjoy what we are playing and potentially feel something while doing so. From meeting with Jackbox Games and previewing My Arms Are Longer Now, it looks like the game will be able to deliver on that once it is released. Make sure to check back with us for future updates on Jackbox’s latest title, My Arms Are Longer Now
