Following a brief delay, publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games announced MultiVersus‘ first season is launching this coming week.

The MultiVersus season 1 of content, which includes new character Morty from Rick & Morty, is launching tomorrow – August 15th. Morty is actually launching a week after the launch, on August 23rd.

Player First was quick to note that tomorrow isn’t the launch day for all of the game’s first season content, they teased “new modes and content will be spread through the life of the season.”

One of the aforementioned additions will be Morty’s adventuring partner, Rick, who will probably be out soon after. This is a shake up from Tom & Jerry, who are playable as a pair despite having very different personalities and abilities.

MultiVersus is currently in open beta across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
