Cover Corp has announced a new project in the Hololive franchise called Hololive Alternative. The project will include the release of an official serialized manga.

The Hololive Alternative project was announced on February 17th alongside an animated PV. The biggest announcement as part of Hololive Alternative was the confirmation of a serialized manga series based on Hololive.

Not much is known about the project at the time of publishing, however Cover Corp has told fans that their input and “support may determine [Hololive Alternative’s] expansion”.

Despite being scarce on details, speculatively the Hololive Alternative project may have to do with the official lore behind the characters. It’s easy to forget that the character Gawr Gura is a runaway from the city of Atlantis, or that Himemori Luna is a princess on the moon while they’re getting excited over video games or doing karaoke.
