We’ve learned most of The Witcher developer CD Projekt RED has moved on to work on their hot new IP, Cyberpunk 2077.

When speaking in an interview, CD Projekt SVP of business and publishing Michal Nowakowski talked up the studio’s creative teams.

“The team is divided right now,” said Nowakowski, when speaking with GamesRadar. “There’s a sizable team still working on [The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine], but an even more sizable team has actually been working on Cyberpunk for quite a while right now.”

It’s worth mentioning that CD Projekt RED previously stated that new information for Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be coming for another two years, however, they explained their reasoning behind this in noting their initial reveal of the game was simply to test the waters – and gauge fan response.

Despite the long wait for the game, rest assured it will be probably worth the wait – considering its scope and size will greatly surpass that of The Witcher 3, which is pretty daunting in scope, size, and overall quality (Editor’s note: you can read our review for that game here).
