Mortal Shell Gets Physical Release in North America and Europe, October 2

Playstack and developer Cold Symmetry have announced action RPG Mortal Shell will be getting a physical release in North America and Europe.

As previously reportedMortal Shell is a third-person action-RPG set in a grim fantasy world. The game focuses on skill-driven tactical combat, and players can possess the remains of fallen heroes to gain access to new fighting styles and techniques.

As detailed on the game’s official website, the physical edition ($29.99 USD/€34.99 / £29.99)  will come with a fold-out poster, softback artbook with concept images and character art. However, the Windows PC “physical” version “does not carry a disc – enclosed instead is a key that can be redeemed on the epic games store.”

Temporarily entomb your Mortal Shell in stone to block attacks, or play aggressive and use your stone-form to add brutal weight to your own sword swings.


Mortal Shell launches digitally on August 18th, and physically (in North America and Europe) on October 2nd on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, and Steam in 2021), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
