Playstack released a new trailer for Cold Symmetry’s upcoming action-RPG, Mortal Shell, as part of the IGN Summer of Gaming event.
Mortal Shell is a third-person action-RPG set in a grim fantasy world. The game focuses on skill-driven tactical combat, and players can possess the remains of fallen heroes to gain access to new fighting styles and techniques.

The developers were also interviewed by IGN during the event, and narrated a gameplay walkthrough showing off some of Mortal Shell‘s core mechanics. You can find the interview and gameplay demonstration below.
Mortal Shell will be having a beta event on July 3rd.

Combat is strategic and deliberate. You must commit your sword only when an opportunity opens. Calculate your parries to unleash devastating counterblows. Temporarily entomb your Mortal Shell in stone to block attacks, or play aggressive and use your stone-form to add brutal weight to your own sword swings.
Mortal Shell is coming in 2020 to Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
