The new trailer for Mortal Kombat X features Erron Black, a fighter entirely new to the fighting game, who was first introduced in the Mortal Kombat X comics. Erron Black is a former mercenary from Earthrealm who has traveled to Outworld to become one of Kotal Kahn‘s warriors. Black is clearly inspired by the cowboys of old Westerns. The character uses dual revolvers, and literally has bullets with the other fighters’ names on them. Watch his video above.
There’s also a new TV spot out, which features System of a Down’s “Chop Suey”. The band’s Shavo Odidjian helped with the music editing for the ad. You can see that clip below.
If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the previous trailer, which revealed Liu Kang and Kung Lao both to be on the side of evil this time around. There’s plenty of more coverage of the game in our archives, too.
Mortal Kombat X is coming to PCs, Playstation 4s, and Xbox Ones worldwide on April 14, and will be available for PS3s and Xbox 360s later this year.

March 27, 2015 at 6:21 pmIn that TV spot I was really hoping to see some live-action fighting by people in costume. I’m a little disappointed. Also a little disappointed that a 1-minute spot has literally only 10 seconds of gameplay footage.

March 28, 2015 at 8:41 amHow long until we get an Ocelot mod for the PCs? But I enjoyed all the shooting, and the bullet with his name, haahah.
