Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay will premiere at Summer Game Fest

Players will get a first look at the actual gameplay of Mortal Kombat 1 during the Summer Game Fest on Thursday, June 8.

According to the Dorito Pope himself Geoff Keighley, Summer Game Fest will be host to the debut of Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay. The game itself isn’t expected to release until September, but with only a few short months it should be fairly far along in development.

Mortal Kombat 1 (technically 12) is the upcoming latest entry in the bloody fighting franchise. The trailer came out last week and the lore effectively “reboots” when Liu Kang resets the world.

You can check out the announcement trailer below.

Hopefully it’s a good game because Mortal Kombat 1 is coming in at an obscene 100 GB on your hard drive.

Mortal Kombat 1 is coming September 19 to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Shang Tsung is available as a pre-order exclusive character.
