As detailed in a previously released roadmap, the Capcom Collabs in updates would introduce layered armor that references other Capcom titles. This included Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Okami, Street Fighter, Ghosts ‘N’ Goblins Resurrection, and Mega Man. However, the latest features a cross-over with Sega’s own blue blur.
The collab not only brings a Sonic themed costume for your Palico, but also your character and a Tails outfit for your Palamute. Along with your Palico being able to spin-dash, they can even turn Super Sonic. Sonic figurines also appear to be shown as a room decoration.
The Event Quest and its subsequent rewards will be available November 26th. Based on the trailer below, it may be players will be able to collect rings as part of the mission.

In other news, more rumors about the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2022 game have surfaced; titled either Sonic Rangers or Sonic Frontiers based on a new trademark. Seems like Sonic will be dashing through nature a little sooner than that, thanks to Monster Hunter Rise.
