Monster Hunter Rise Capcom Collab 3 Launches August 27; Adds Akuma Street Fighter Hunter Layered Armor

Monster Hunter Rise Akuma

Capcom have announced a crossover with Street Fighter, as an Akuma Hunter costume will be available in a Monster Hunter Rise update.

As detailed in a previously released roadmap, the Capcom Collabs in updates would introduce layered armor that references other Capcom titles. This includes the Palico Layered Armor Tsukino (Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin), and the Palamute Layered Armor Amaterasu (Okami).

The Capcom Collab 3 will be focused on Street Fighter, with players unlocking the Akuma Layered Armor for their character. A monster in his own right; Akuma relies on overwhelming power and manically seeks to increase his strength, martial arts prowess, and dark powers of Satsui no Hado.

The layered armor does not seem entirely aesthetical, as players can pummeling monsters directly with moves from the fighting game. They may still use weapons.

You can find the Street Fighter Collab trailer below.

The Capcom Collab 3 update launches August 27th; providing the event quest to unlock the Layered Armor set, with new stickers available August 26th. Capcom Collab 4 and 5 will launch in Fall 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise is available on Nintendo Switch, and 2022 on Windows PC. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we highly recommend it!)
