The teaser trailer has a brief message, in English, that reads: “An untold story of Battle Operation begins,” during a brief anime cutscene.
Here’s a new trailer:
The previously released games in the Battle Operation sub-series of Mobile Suit Gundam titles include:
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam Battle Operation
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation NEXT
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2
While all of the aforementioned titles have been free-to-play, only Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 is still being actively run by Bandai Namco.
Further details are coming on October 19.
In related news – Bandai Namco unveiled a new corporate logo for their company – which they’re intending to use beginning April 2022. The response thus far has been mostly negative, with longtime fans expressing concerns over both the plain new look to the logo and the accompanying “Fun for all into the Future” messaging, suggesting policy changes in the company as well.
Bandai Namco was originally created after the merger of both Namco and Bandai, back in 2005. The company was known as Bandai Namco Games from 2006 to 2015, and then Bandai Namco Entertainment from 2015 through today. However, the company did have a curious western deviation in naming as we knew them as Namco Bandai for years – that changed in 2014 as well.
