Mighty No. 9 is Delayed, “Aiming for a Release in Q1 2016”

mighty no. 9 08-05-15-1

Comcept has confirmed that Mighty No. 9 is going to miss its planned September release.

Coming from this, the game is going to be delayed into next year. “We are unable to confirm a final release date at this time, however we will be aiming for a release in Q1 2016,” said Comcept in an email to backers of the Kickstarter. “Once a solid release date is set, we will announce it immediately to our backers and fans.”

“As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state,” Comcept said in an update. “However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. These bugs and issues have a direct affect on enjoyment of the game, so a decision was made to work these issues out before release.”

Once completed, Mighty No. 9 will be launching across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Linux, and Mac, followed by a staggered release for PS Vita and 3DS some time later.

The incompetence of this project is just all over the place. Mismanagement of the community was so bad that most people just gave up on it ages ago.

And those braindead retards at 100k Strong for legends 3 were like B-BUT IT WAS JUST A RUMOR and it was really disappointing how many asskissers came to defend their based InaFUNDme.

I told them Mighty No 9 was going to be negatively affected by Red Ash but nooooo. And 100k Strong isn’t even reporting this. Probably because they’re ashamed and committed sudoku

Well uh…you know…a rushed game is bad forever, but a delayed game is eventually good.

    Right? GUYS? Inafune, please.

Well, i think it’s pretty clear that this project was just a tad bit more ambitious than they could handle. “Bit off more than they could chew” is a phrase that comes to mind. And while they were chewing on that dinner, they tried to shove dessert and tomorrows breakfast in their mouths as well.

Getting the game finished is one thing, but they also have to get EIGHT different skews of it finished, which is a fairly significant undertaking, even for a large company.

I dunno, I just think maybe trying to run a company fueled by blind nostalgic ambition is maybe not for the best.

I hope the fact that Inti Creates is part of this whole quagmire doesn’t portend ill for Bloodstained. With kickstarter there’s no one else to blame but the parties directly responsible when a product isn’t delivered as expected, and it’s real easy to get a reputation as a shyster — a nagging pain it seems Inafune and Comcept are starting to feel thanks to the train wreck of MN9.

I wish i knew this before I backed this shitheap for 20 of my hard earned dollarydoos.

Fuck you Inafune you goddamn dream stomper. I knew I was going to hate this game the second they showed that they weren’t gonna use the gorgeous art style from the concept art.

I seriously doubt it was Inti Creates fault. They made Megaman Zero, Shantae, and Galgun. They are very talented but they got fucked over by Comcept’s bullshit like the rest of us did.

Now we better hope Bloodstained doesn’t do the same. I didn’t back it because Mighty No 9 pissed me off and Bloodstained showed the same symptoms of it’s bullshit.Hopefully it turns out better though.

    I don’t. It’s a walking comedy act.

This is just the controller for their entire console that they’re developing. Shit’s hilarious. Red Ass is being handled by these people. It’s just poetry. Red Ash confirmed for Chinese knockoff.

Also going through their website is a hoot. http://www.fuzegame.tv/e/about.php

At the very least, this kickstarter taught me the lesson that I need to be a bit more critical of kickstarters before backing them.

And that even if the kickstarter manages to do everything it promised, there’s no guarantee that the game will be as good as I think its going to be, or even as good as what they say it will be. Everyone tries to make a great game, and unfortunately they don’t always succeed.

Backing anything on kickstarter is a big risk, even if it’s managed much better than this one was. Personally, I don’t really regret backing it, as I still would have rather had seen the project completed, regardless of the outcome, than never know what could have been. But I of course wish Inafune had stayed a bit more…focused, I suppose.

And to think they actually denied this a week or so ago – despite the evidence to the contrary – just so they wouldn’t narrowly miss getting the Red Rash game animation funded.

Also, now it becomes painfully obviously that they intended to use the money that game was supposed to get on finishing Mighty No 9, after which they’d probably use the profits from that game to actually fund the next project (as it always should have been)… although knowing Inafune, he might’ve had that outside party funding safety net ready from the get-go.

SJWs: What are you talking about? They gave us polls and an awesome forum! You must be a misogynist or something!

100K Strong is nothing but a bunch of idiots circle-jerking each other about their favorite series that they still don’t believe is never coming back. It’s comprised mostly of Mega Man Legends Station morons and a bunch of idiot fans that convinced themselves that just clicking like on that page would bring back Legends 3.

That page has been useless from the moment they decided NOT to hold Capcom accountable, refusing to have any boycotts whatsoever, or even allow people to discuss how mad they were at Capcom.

Cowards. They knew long ago, but wouldn’t say because they were still shilling as hard as they could for Red Ash. Now that that FAILED (or got bailed out like Fannie May and Freddie Mac) they can finally tell the truth. But not the real truth, they’re still pretending it’s about “online features” when they said the game was DONE in the Kickstarter video for Red Ash. Lying then, or lying now?

I will say, if the game sucks when it comes out, Comcept is done as a game company.

That was one of those games that in the early days of everyone crying Soggy Knees at the drop of a bra-strap, people weren’t all over the repulsive shit that the MC of that game was saying because the precious Inafune-san was guiding the ship.
