Microsoft announced they’re moving “full speed ahead” on their next generation console, news confirmed in an internal email from Xbox president Sarah Bond.

The email (via Windows Central, also confirmed by Microsoft) comes not long after Bond previously teased the next Xbox console, saying it would be the “largest technical leap in a hardware generation.”

“We are moving full speed ahead on our next generation hardware, focused on delivering the biggest technological leap ever in a generation,” Bond said in the internal memo.

Further information wasn’t shared but it’ll be interesting to see if Xbox still supports physical media like they’ve pledged, or if the previous leaks on Xbox refresh consoles are an indicator of their all-digital future.
