Meta has announced they have acquired 3 development studios: Armature Studio, Camouflaj, and Twisted Pixel.

The Facebook subsidiary stated it would be a while before they reveal any projects being done by these 3 teams, but would support them as they bring “ambitious and forward-thinking games to VR”.

Armature Studio are the team behind bringing Resident Evil 4 to the Meta Quest 2. This version of the game drew controversy when it was revealed that Meta, known as Facebook at the time, asked Capcom to censor the game and update it for “modern audiences”.

Twisted Pixel is known for the VR titles Wilson’s Heart and Path of the Warrior, and Camouflaj is known for the Iron Man VR, which launched on PSVR back in 2020, as well as their debut title, Republique.

As stated before, they say that it’ll be a while before they share most projects being created by these teams – the one exception being Camouflaj as they will be porting Iron Man VR to Meta Quest 2 on November 3, 2022.

During this announcement, they also shared other VR titles coming soon to their platform and those receiving substantial updates. They include POPULATION: ONE, Among Us VR, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, and Behemoth.
