Mercury Steam, the Spain-based studio that worked on the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow games, are teasing an entirely new project.
Featured above, the new game is being teased both on their official website, as well as a website set up just for the game.
There are some things of note here, most notably the eerie, somewhat grating music in the background. There’s a message shown prominently in the top of the page:
“Exploring new worlds, fighting strange creatures, discovering new heroes. Expect news soon”
The visual (as it’s seemingly being displayed through a screen, with the noticeable flickering) shows a man in what appears to be a cockpit of some kind, surrounded by instruments and screens. Perhaps they’re making a mecha game?
The page set up for the game itself has “idi” as its URL, as well as the disclaimer in the footer that Mercury Steam has received funding to develop the game from Spain’s Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
There’s also the small blurb about the game being for new platforms (meaning current generation consoles), and made up of multiple genres, coupled with the keyword “Aleph,” whatever that means.
With Gamescom 2015 less than two weeks away, it seems like we’ll be getting a full reveal for their new game some time during the conference.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
