Spark Plug Games, the developers of the publicly funded MechRunner, have accomplished their fundraising goal on Kickstarter. MechRunner, a new endless action game, started its campaign just about a month ago.

The developers praised a unique action running game where players will take to the destroyed ruins of Europe, battling a robotic army from a rogue soviet general gone mad with alien power! Players can also customize their mech as it can transform between a fast moving tank and a scythe wielding power armor with a large assortment of weapons.

The team spread the word, including visiting the North Carolina State University Game Lab, in the efforts to see the game through! The goal of the campaign allowed for the developers to give the game the extra degree of polish it deserved, according to the developers.

Visual quality, audio dynamics, environmental and level design, and the story will now benefit from the extra funding. Other touches include voice actors for the characters and more environmental variety. As the campaign was successful, all of these elements will now happen. There are three more day to continue funding the game for the free prizes, such as the soundtrack, mech mold, credits in the game, t-shirts, and other cool swag.
