NetEase Games has announced Marvel Rivals has released its latest character, Rogue, to its playable roster.

The iconic power-absorbing hero is now available as part of the game’s Season 5.5. The next character, Deadpool, was revealed with a January 16th, 2026 release.

Here’s a rundown on the new details, plus a couple trailers:

Deadpool is a wildly popular hero, wielding double katanas, double pistols, and quadruple the quips.  Also, the exciting second half of the fifth season will launch December 12 and will introduce Rogue as a playable hero along with new features and updates. Additionally, Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival returns this month for more winter-themed fun. Marvel Rivals received nominations for a number of Game Awards including Players Choice and Best Ongoing Game and the game also recently received the PlayStation Partner Awards 2025 Japan/Asia.

Rogue (Vanguard) – In Season 5.5, Rogue enters the fray combining her immense strength with Chronovium energy. Rogue charges into enemy lines with powerful melee abilities, opening opportunities for her team with her signature ability: power absorption. During battle, Rogue can take down an enemy hero and absorb abilities from them, gaining a basic buff based on their role. She may even steal a signature ability, like Doctor Strange’s Shield of the Seraphim or Loki’s Regeneration Domain. And that’s not all, when Rogue activates her Ultimate, she continuously drains Ultimate Ability Energy from nearby enemies, giving her team the edge and gaining further buffs based on their roles, making her a true powerhouse on the battlefield!

Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival returns for the holiday season in the new map, Jeffland! This map features an all-new three-way brawl with three unique Jeff builds, each with their own skill set, bringing even more fun and color to the winter season. There are also a series of holiday and winter-themed costumes and festive events lined up to help players celebrate this joyful time of year. Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival and all the Holiday Special events kick off December 18. 

Marvel Rivals is now available across for Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
