Developer SUNNY SIDE UP announced Little Witch in the Woods launches via early access in May 2022.
While Little Witch in the Woods launches via early access on May 17th, the witch-life RPG will be available via Steam. The early access debut of the game will include the prologue and its first chapter equaling about five hours of content, while the final release comes with its prologue, three chapters, and the ending – totaling around 20 hours of content.
“In this magic journey, you will experience Ellie’s daily life, like gathering materials, creating potions, collecting information to fill in the witch guide book, and making friends with charming villagers,” the developer said in an update. “May Ellie give you a smile of happiness, and even add some warm and bright color to your life.”
They added, “Thanks for all of your patience and caring for Ellie along the way. As a novice dev team, we have encountered every difficulty that can be encountered by many “new parents”. During the process, your understanding and trust really helped us. We hope this time, our “Little Witch in the Woods” can live up to your expectations.”

To graduate in the witch school, little witch “Ellie” goes to work as a apprentice in a “Witch’s house”. When Ellie arrived at the witch’s house, all she saw was a worn-out house with a village that looked like 4 to 5 people lived. Here starts the story of Ellie trying to get good grades for her graduation in the witch school!
