Bandai Namco has shared the launch trailer for Tales of Berseria.
Featured above, the launch trailer for the latest in the Tales RPG series has a mix of animated cutscenes, combat, and of course – ominous dialogue.
The trailer comes with a synopsis of the game’s plot:
10 years ago, a Scarlet Night rose over Midgand and with it came the daemonblight. Famine, destruction and chaos reigned over the people. But then The Advent came and with it, a savior. It is Midgand’s savior that Velvet vows to kill!
Tales of Berseria is launching for PlayStation 4 and PC in North America on January 24th, followed by January 27th in Europe. A playable demo for the game is now available. Expect our review for the game forthcoming.

January 24, 2017 at 8:25 amIt’s a JRPG ported to Steam. For every job there’s a tool. You don’t play Starcraft or Counterstrike with a controller. Why would you play a Tales of game with a mouse?

January 24, 2017 at 11:19 amNow I know how Euro gamers feel when a game censored in Germany all of Europe has to suffer. Like what the fuck Bamco? I knew you guys were sleazy, but censoring a game for everyone else outside Japan because of PEGI? Why does everyone else have to deal with this bullshit because of ONE rating board? Fuck you Bamco you lazy greedy pieces of shit.

January 24, 2017 at 11:47 amI tried the demo with mouse and keyboard. It felt horrible. I’ll just use a controller until they finally figure out how to release a game with good controls for mouse and keyboard.

January 24, 2017 at 6:36 pmYou mean like how people “do just fine” playing FPS with a controller?
Its not that Japanese devs “have no idea how to use them”, its simply how their games are designed/intended to be played.
Tales games play more like fighters than standard action/adventure titles like your comparing it too. Fighters are made with analog sticks and buttons in mind, not KB/M.
