Nuisance streamer Johnny Somali (Ismael Ramsey Khalid) is currently in Korea and is actively being hunted down by enraged Korean streamers after his actions in the country.
In addition to his usual antics of being disgusting and obnoxious, Somali took things to another level when he began fondling and humping a memorial statue for Korean “comfort women”. Comfort women were Korean women and girls who were systematically kidnapped and sexually assaulted by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War 2.
In the days following this incident, Korean netizens have been incensed to find and hold Somali accountable. This has led to Somali livestreaming in a plain white room in order to conceal his location. In his stream, he refused to apologize and further antagonized Koreans, confident that he wouldn’t be found.

Spoiler alert: He was found.
In a showing of internet detective work not seen since Shia LaBeouf’s game of Capture the Flag, Korean internet users found Somali thanks to a combination of the reflection of his cell phone, and a brief glimpse of a pizza box in his otherwise empty room.
Since discovering his location, Korean streamers have been following him and attacking him in response to his odious behavior. Now, according to Dexerto, he’s been charged with two counts of assault and one count of drug use.
In Japan, Somali was largely able to avoid consequences and was allowed to leave the country, but as a convicted criminal in Japan he likely won’t be allowed back. Critics of Somali are hopeful that he’ll face harsher consequences in Korea.
