Kirby Discovery Leaked Ahead of Nintendo Direct

We’ve learned Kirby Discovery has been leaked ahead of today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, confirming the existence of the currently unannounced game in the series.

The game was discovered on the Japanese Nintendo release schedule, confirming all their upcoming titles for the foreseeable future. Kirby Discovery will likely be revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, and is set for a digital and retail release sometime in spring 2022.

It’s worth noting the listing links to a blog post that is seemingly not published yet, as is other games like Bayonetta 3, which is listed for 2022 and also has an unpublished blog post – suggesting we’ll finally get a firm release window for the hotly anticipated threequel.

Today’s Nintendo Direct will be a whopping forty-minutes of new information on new Switch games, and will kick off at 3 PM Pacific / 6 PM Eastern, and will be viewable on YouTube (English, Japanese) as well as the official Nintendo sites (via Nintendo.com and Nintendo.co.jp).

The most recent game in the Kirby series was the September 2020-released Kirby Fighters 2, however the most recent mainline game in the series was Kirby Star Allies, released back in 2018, both of which are for Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find my review for Kirby Star Allies here (I highly recommend it!).

We’ll keep you guys posted.
