Keiji Inafune, the famed Mega Man director and more recently Mighty No. 9 creator, is going to be heralded as a guest of honor at this year’s Anime Expo.
To celebrate his contribution to the con, he will hold a Q&A panel alongside an autograph session, news confirmed via the conventions official website.
Inafune is best known for being a huge collaborator on the Mega Man series, although he has been known to oversee a multitude of titles within Capcom like Lost Planet, Dead Rising, leading up to his departure from the company. His recent games include the likes of Soul Sacrifice, and even a joint development on the spinoff Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.
Currently, Inafune is working on Might No. 9 with his own studio, Comcept, who are co-developing the title with Inti Creates. KAIO: King of Pirates is still being developed in partnership with Marvelous AQL, although that title still lacks a release date.
The 2014 Anime Expo will go down between July 3rd to the 6th, and it will take place in the LA Convention Center.
