The upcoming anime sequel film Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage will hit Japanese theaters in October.

The film is a sequel to the Winter 2023 anime Kaina of the Great Snow Sea which is based off an ongoing manga series of the same name.

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea is the latest project from writer-artist duo Tsutomu Nihei and (Blame!) and Itoe Takamoto (Kemono no Souja). Polygon Pictures handled the anime and are known for their work on Ajin and Drifting Dragons.

Taking place in a world where humanity is forced to live around giant trees due to the endless snow-filled wasteland around them, a meeting between two young people could change the fate of the world.

An English release for the film has yet to be announced, the anime series is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
