New photos from the Joker 2 or Joker: Folie à Deux ongoing production have emerged that finally give us a look at co-star Lady Gaga’s role as Harley Quinn.

The new photos (via Variety) give a proper look at Gaga as the Joker’s iconic sidekick, the equally demented Harley Quinn.

A look at the photos show off what appears to be some kind of arrest or court hearing scene, with police escorting Gaga into some kind of government-looking building.

Extras in the shots are wearing sympathetic masks, makeup, and more in what appers to be a protest on whatever fate awaits the Joker himself, played once again by Joaquin Phoenix.

It’s worth pointing out that it still isn’t confirmed whether or not Lady Gaga is officially playing the role of Harley Quinn – but the above photos sure seem to suggest that’s her part.

Details on the hotly-anticipated sequel are scant, though its witty subtitle seems to reinforce the other rumor that the film will be a musical.

Joker: Folie à Deux is set to premiere in theaters on October 9th, 2024.
