We’ve got the an initial look at the long-awaited John Wick spinoff Ballerina as its first trailer reveals star Ana de Armas slaying loads of hitmen.

Armas, who plays titular Ballerina assassin Eve Macarro trained in the ways of the Ruska Roma, is seeking revenge against hitmen that murdered her family. The spinoff film takes place in between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4.

The new spinoff film will also star Ian McShane (as Winston Scott), Lance Reddick (as Charon, his final appearance as Charon and his overall final appearance in film), Anjelica Huston (as “The Director”), and of course – Keanu Reeves as John Wick himself, Baba Yaga.

Newcomers in the growing roster of assassins and other characters include Gabriel Byrne as the main antagonist, Norman Reedus as a mysterious man named Pine, Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Nogi, and both Catalina Sandino Moreno and David Castañeda in unknown roles.

Len Wiseman is directing the film based on a script by Shay Hatten, who contributed to the final script for John Wick Chapter 3 and went on to be the lead writer for Chapter 4. Series creator Chad Stahelski is serving as a producer.

Elsewhere in the John Wick cinematic universe, the spinoff mini-series The Continental: From the World of John Wick premiered last fall and is streaming via Peacock and Amazon Prime Video. Despite how the last main film ended – Keanu and Chad are somehow producing a fifth film.
