As previously reported, the younger sisters of the four CPUs (Console Patron Unit, and main characters of the Neptunia series) have awoken after a slumber lasting several years. Not knowing who put them to sleep or why; CPU Candidates Nepgear, Uni, Rom, and Ram discover their sisters are missing.
Planeptune has been overrun with magic phones dominating the market, and the “buzzer phenomenon” has attracted monsters in force. Players must battle in real-time with three party members (controlling one at a time and switching freely between); unleashing combos and exploring an open world.
Snippets of that gameplay and open world can be seen in the new debut teaser trailer, which you can find below.
While barely hinted at in the background at the end of the trailer, the official website confirms the girls will be able to transform just like their older sisters. While known as Hard Drive Divinity (HDD), it seems Nepgear’s power comes from the sinister Black Share Crystal.
Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters launches April 21st, 2022 in Japan for PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
