Hover: Revolt of Gamers is an open world parkour game set in a futuristic metropolis. The game is being created my Midgar Studio, who are based out of France.
Fusty Game plans on releasing the title for Linux, PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and it’s even adapted for the Oculus Rift.
In Hover: Revolt of Gamers, you play as a rebellion gang that opposes the new laws the Mayor is setting in place, mainly the law banning video games.
As the player you have to run, flip, and jump around this open world trying to evade the law, setting citizens free, and finding warehouses where they are storing games and their propaganda.
Midgar Studio says there will be a ton of unlockable characters, freedom to go anywhere in the open world, allowing players to engage the game world in a non-linear fashion.
Also, Midgar wants to make sure that their parkour game is revolutionary by making it an arcade style, adding cooperative or competitive multiplayer, and having the game be non-linear open world.
Hover will also have a skill tree that the player can utilize. You will be able to unlock new abilities and add new equipment for your character. These things will help you pull off sicker movies and combos in the game and during multiplayer mode.
Hover: Revolt of Gamers has already received the Greenlight on Steam and is currently on kickstarter until Thursday May 22nd. They have already reached their initial goal but they are looking to add a lot more.
With additional funding, Midgar Studio want to add some cool features like doubling the size of an already large city and bringing the game onto the Wii U.
Make sure you stop by Hover’s kickstarter page and, like always, check back for more about this title.
