Sega have shown off trailers and gameplay footage of their upcoming arcade shooter House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn at JAEPO 2018.
This is the first footage we have seen of the game since its announcement back in January of this year.
Along with the above “Advertise Movie” trailer, a trailer featuring gameplay can be found below (all commentary from the narrator is in Japanese however):
The official Japanese Twitter account for the franchise has posted one additional trailer (with a far less serious tone) to advertise a location test of the game at “a nationwide amusement center” in Japan before its official release.
Using the Unreal 4 engine the game allows you and another player to wield multiple weapons, and shoot objects in the environment to hinder and destroy zombies. The cabinet will even scare passers by with zombies appearing in the observing windows.
Those familiar with the franchise are sure to recognize Kate Green returning from House of the Dead 4 alongside newcomer Ryan Taylor. One of the monsters also resembles Chariot from the first House of the Dead game.
A western release for House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn is planned for all Dave & Busters sometime this fall – you can read more about that here.
