While peripheral manufacturer Hori produced a pretty ridiculous Slime-shaped DualShock 4 controller for Dragon Quest XI, its design was mostly not meant to be actually used for prolonged periods of gameplay – just like its DualShock 2 predecessor. Now, the company is at it again, only now with a more traditionally-shaped Slime controller.

Set for a release on October 19th in Japan for 3,218 yen, the new Slime Edition DualShock 4 actually comes only in a corded form – with a 3 meter long cable. The smaller 135mm x 68mm x 30mm size is meant for children or those who prefer smaller controllers.

The latest game in the series, Dragon Quest XI, has a western release set for sometime next year, for PlayStation 4.
