Here’s a Two Minute Trailer for the .hack-like RPG, New World

Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have shared a new trailer for New World Vol. 1: Maiden of Silver Tears.

Featured above, the new trailer shows off the game’s character customization, combat, party building, and more. Despite being for smartphones, the game is mean to recapture the look and feel of the .hack series.

New World Vol. 1: Maiden of Silver Tears is launching sometime later this year in Japan.

Could be worse, instead of FTP on Mobile, it could be FTP on 3DS.

The evolution of the .Hack franchise and JRPGs at it’s finest.

Unsurprisingly, it looks like crap. One of the few times I’d be okay with not getting a game localized. Japan could keep it.

It’s for Mobile. It’s a game that’s resembling my favorite series of all time, yet I contain not even an ounce of excitement. I hope it fails.

Just looks… really bland and generic. Like a moeblob copy of .hack but for mobiles. It has that Yet Another JRPG For The Vita look about it too, wouldn’t be surprised if it came over at some point.

Disappointing, really. Why not just make a new .hack for consoles? They have the IP, is the franchise just stagnant or something?

Why the fuck are all of these coming out for fucking phones?!?!

I want a PS4 remaster of the .Hack// and Xenosaga series, lazy devs!

If you’re gonna make it, make it for freaking modern consoles. This is just torture.

They don’t believe in it. That’s the problem.

It’s really disappointing how many Japanese devs(and a few western) are flocking to the mobile market and abandoning consoles….

I would think there’s enough people in the WestAsia who’d buy a reimagined .hack for consoles to make it worthwhile…fuck even handheld…

Hows that worst? Or is it a joke flying over my head lol

I guess not enough Japanese are buying the ps4 to make the devs(and to be realistic….publishers) find it worthwhile?

AndOr they think THEY’LL be the next lucky ones to make big bank on mobile like it’s the f##### lottery.

Ugh and to add…God am I passed. I saw the title under another article and got excited it was something more interesting…

So sad at where the industry is headed.

But mobile is bigger than consoles in japan so this is just how it will be for now on.
