Indie metroidvania RPG Heart Forth, Alicia finally has a solid release window.
The one-man developed game will be released in Q1 of next year, over two years from the game’s initial funding on Kickstarter. As the game has been developed solely by Mexico-based developer Alonso Martin, it has been delayed a few times.
The brainchild of Martin himself, the new release window means the game has actually been in development pre-Kickstarter for nine years, paralleling the extended development cycle of yet another gorgeous indie-pixel game, Owlboy (you can find our review for that game here, we highly recommend it!)
Martin is taking the extra time to polish environment art, refine enemy and NPC animations, completely flesh out the soundtrack, and secure the game’s aspect ratio to match current display standards.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that Heart Forth, Alicia will be playable at this year’s PlayStation Experience.
Heart, Forth Alicia will launch across PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, PS Vita and Wii U.
