Hatsune Miku anime project announced

Hatsune Miku

An official anime featuring the vocaloid Hatsune Miku has been announced! Project Sekai The Movie: Broken World and Miku Who Doesn’t Sing (劇場版プロジェクトセカイ壊れたセカイと歌えないミク) is set to premiere next year.

Not much is known about the movie at this except what’s been shown in the trailer. We see people who look to come from all over the world (or at least Japan), encountering a somewhat melancholy looking Miku on their mobile devices. You can check out the trailer below.

The Hatsune Miku movie will be the latest project from P.A. Works, a studio known for their work on the recent titles Mayonaka Punch, Buddy Daddies, and the upcoming Sakuna of Rice and Ruin anime adaptation.

Hatsune Miku is a vocaloid software that can sing with input from the user, the voice is notably a bit robotic but she has many dedicated fans in spite of (or because of) this.

Project Sekai The Movie: Broken World and Miku Who Doesn’t Sing is set to premiere in Japan on January 17, 2025. We still don’t know about an English release.
