Publisher Xbox Game Studios and developer Halo Studios have announced Halo 2’s legendary demo from E3 2003, which never got released to the public, is coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The legendary Halo 2 E3 2003 demo is getting added to the Master Chief Collection as a free and remastered mod, via Steam Workshop, on November 9th to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original game.

It’s worth noting this remastered Halo 2 E3 2003 demo is only confirmed for the PC (via Steam) version of the game, and Microsoft hasn’t announced any plans to release it for the Xbox or Microsoft Store versions of the game.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been available for Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
