Grisaia: Chronos Rebellion censored on Steam

Grisaia: Chronos Rebellion

Grisaia: Chronos Rebellion, an all-ages visual novel, is the next anime-style game to be censored on Steam due to “ethical standards”.

The official Twitter account for the game released a message stating that the Steam release will differ from the original Japanese version, as a part of the “CG and presentation” will differ (the story will remain the same).

The reason behind this censorship is because of “ethical standards”, and the exact scenes/items affected weren’t mentioned.

Visual novel database also confirms this:

Grisaia is an eroge franchise known for producing visual novels laden with sex scenes, however, the last few games in the series have been targeted for all-ages.

Steam is known to target games and visual novels with anime-style aesthetics when it comes to censorship due to the tendency of characters to look “underage”, even when they’re not.
