Grand Theft Auto 6 will set creative benchmarks for the series, says Take-Two

Grand Theft Auto 6

During a Take-Two financial call, CEO Strauss Zelnick stated the development of Grand Theft Auto 6 was “well underway”.

In the financial call (via VGC), Zelnick stated, “The Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment, just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases.”

First confirmed in February, Rockstar has been keeping their cards close to their chest about information related to the game since the initial announcement.

So far, much of what is known about the game has come from various reports claiming the game will take place in modern day Vice City, and will have two playable protagonists, a man and woman duo.

The game is still reportedly a long ways out, with a release date set for either 2024 or 2025 according to reporting from various outlets.

It was also reported that, in order to focus on the development of Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar had to shelve development on two remasters for Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption. If true, it’s a shame because it would have been great to see Red Dead Redemption finally make its way to the PC platform.

We will no doubt see more information regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 in the coming months as Take-Two is preparing to make money hand over fist with the game’s release.

In the meantime, you can check up on any of the Rockstar games you haven’t completed yet. I haven’t finished Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC yet, and It appears that I will have plenty of time to do so.
