• GKIDS is Returning to Theaters with Lupin III, Weathering With You, and More

    GKIDS has announced that they’re bringing select anime films back to theaters for a limited run. These films include the latest Lupin III: The First which premiered to critical acclaim last year.

    GKIDS is a New York-based film distributor which holds the home media and theatrical rights to Studio Ghibli’s library of films alongside other theatrical works. The upcoming theatrical releases include Lupin III: The First, Promare, Weathering With You, and Children of the Sea.

    GKIDS is largely known for their theatrical releases, including the annual Studio Ghibli Fest where they show a film almost every month in US theaters. However earlier this year GKIDS made a portion of their library available on the HBO Max streaming service.
