Genshin Impact gets new trailer showcasing Tighnari’s skills

Genshin Impact

HoYoverse have released a new Genshin Impact trailer for Tighnari, this time focusing on his skills and abilities.

Tighnari is the latest 5-star character to be added to the popular gacha action-RPG in its gigantic 3.0 update. Tighnari is also one of the game’s first playable Dendro characters, alongside his pupil Collei and the Dendro version of the Traveler.

Tighnari is a bow-wielding researcher that works as one of the Forest Watchers that patrol the lush rainforests of Sumeru. Fittingly enough for an expert outdoorsman, Tighnari has a passive exploration skill like Klee and Qiqi that highlights nearby Sumeru resources on your map.

In combat, Tighnari is a ranged DPS that also excels at spreading Dendro effects, allowing Travelers to easily set up elemental reactions. Besides his basic 4-shot combo, Tighnari has an aimed charge shot like all bow characters. Much like with Ganyu, Tighnari’s charged shot has two levels, those being a quick Dendro-infused bolt, or a more powerful arrow that bursts into Dendro missiles that seek out nearby enemies.

For his Elemental Skill, Tighnari throws a Vijnana Stormheart bomb. This attack explodes and sprinkles Dendro spores over an area, dealing elemental damage and taunting enemies while Tighnari pulls back and fires arrows from a safe distance. Not only that, but this skill decreases the charge time for his next 3 shots.

Tighnari’s Elemental Burst is basically a supped-up version of his charge shot. Tighnari fires 6 large Tanglevine tendrils that seek out the closest enemies, dealing Dendro damage before exploding into a second wave of projectiles that do the same thing.

You can see Tighnari in action within Genshin Impact below:

Tighnari is the focus of 3.0’s first set of limited time character banners. His banner also features increased pull rates for Diona, Fischl, and the brand new 4-star character Collei. Players can also get a free Collei by completing 3.0’s limited time story events. Alternatively, players can instead wish for Zhongli, who returns in another rerun banner.

Unlike most new Genshin Impact 5-star characters, Tighnari won’t be a limited time character. In 3.1 he will transition to the permanent banner, presumably because there are no other 5-star Dendro characters in the game’s permanent banner rotation right now.

Dori, a new 4-star Electro character from Sumeru, will be added to the game in a few weeks as part of 3.0’s second batch of banners.

There is also a new Epitome Invocation weapon banner that features the new 5-star bow Hunter’s Path, which is Tighnari’s signature weapon. Other weapons in the banner are the 5-star spear Vortex Vanquisher, and the 4-star weapons Favonius Sword, The Bell, Favonius Lance, Favonius Codex, and The Stringless.

Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store and official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, AndroidiOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our Genshin Impact review here (we recommend it!).
