Genshin Impact gets new trailer introducing the soft-spoken Tighnari

Genshin Impact

HoYoverse have released a trailer for Tighnari, one of the new characters coming in Genshin Impact‘s huge 3.0 update.

The highly anticipated 3.0 update for Genshin Impact unlocks Sumeru, the next massive area Travelers will get to explore in the gacha action-RPG’s ongoing narrative. Loosely based on the Middle East and Africa, Sumeru consists of lush jungles and scorching deserts that hide remnants of forgotten civilizations.

Since Genshin Impact is heading to a whole new region, it’s only natural that this will lead to a wide selection of new characters to wish for. Tighnari is the first 5-star character from Sumeru, and will also be one of the first playable Dendro characters in the game alongside the Dendro version of the Traveler.

Tighnari is a bow-wielding researcher that serves as one of the Forest Watchers that patrol the verdant Avidya Forest. He spends his time caring for the exotic flora and fauna of Sumeru’s rainforests, ensuring that the ecosystem is thriving and well maintained.

You can find the new teaser trailer introducing Tighnari below.

Tighnari will be the highlight of 3.0’s first big, limited time character wish banner. In version 3.1, Tighnari will also be added to the permanent banner alongside Diluc, Keqing, Mona, Qiqi, and Jean as the pool of potential 5-star character pulls.

Update 3.0 will see the release of two 4-star characters from Sumeru as well. The Dendro archer Collei is Tighnari’s pupil, and fittingly enough will be available in the same banner with him. The second banner of 3.0 will feature the Electro support-focused Dori as one of the possible 4-star pulls.

Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store and official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, AndroidiOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our Genshin Impact review here (we recommend it!).
