Genshin Impact Sangonomiya Kokomi Character Demo

MiHoYo have released a new Genshin Impact Sangonomiya Kokomi character demo trailer, the next character being added to their popular gacha action-RPG.

Sangonomiya Kokomi is the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, and leads the resistance forces fighting against Raiden Shogun for control of Inazuma. She played a big role in the recent and ongoing Inazuma story quests, and is the third (fourth if you count Horizon: Zero Dawn‘s Aloy, who is currently PlayStation-exclusive) character being added in the current 2.1 update.

She is a 5-star Hydro catalyst character, and is heavily focused on healing your party. She has a -100% base crit rate stat, so her damage capacity is rather limited, but many of her abilities heal and can be used to cause elemental reactions.

Here’s the new Genshin Impact Sangonomiya Kokomi character demo trailer:

Sangonomiya Kokomi will be available later today as part of the Drifting Luminescence limited time character wish banner, which will replace the current Reign of Serenity banner that showcased 2.1’s other new 5-star, Raiden Shogun. Kokomi’s banner will also include increased drop rates for the 4-star characters Beidou, Rosaria, and Xingqiu.

The launch of the Kokomi banner will be accompanied by a new Epitome Invocation limited time weapon wish banner. The 5-star weapons showcased in the banner include the brand new catalyst, Everlasting Moonglow, and the Primordial Jade Cutter sword. The 4-star weapons The Flute, Favonius Greatsword, Dragon’s Bane, Favonius Codex, and The Stringless will also receive increased drop rates in the banner.

The Dracaena Somnolenta Story Quest also launches today, which will further delve into Sangonomiya Kokomi’s story and background.

Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
