HoYoverse have released a new short Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka trailer, introducing the swordswoman’s earlier years.
Kamisato Ayaka is the popular 5-star Cryo sword wielder that finally launched back in the gacha RPG’s big 2.0 update last year. She will be returning later this week as the highlight of 2.6‘s second limited time character banner, The Heron’s Court, after her big brother Kamisato Ayato‘s current banner expires. Her banner will also feature increased pull rates for the 4-star characters Rosaria, Razor, and Sayu.
The Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka backstory trailer was released ahead of her highly anticipated rerun banner focuses on Ayaka’s childhood. As the younger sister to Kamisato Ayato, the heir to the Kamisato Clan and the future head of the Yashiro Commision, it was always Ayaka’s duty to prepare herself for being a major figurehead within Inazuma.

Players still have just under a week left to participate in Genshin Impact‘s current limited time event, the Magnificent Irodori Festival. Fulfilling a similar role to Mondstadt’s Windblume and Liyue’s Lantern Rite, the Magnificent Irodori Festival is a major event in Inazuma’s culture.
Players will be able to interact with a variety of their favorite characters in a series of story quests, as well as participate in minigames like duels, gardening, Theater Mechanicus, and photography to earn rewards like Primogems and upgrade materials. Players can also get a free Xingqiu by completing the story quests.
Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store and official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
