MiHoYo have released the Genshin Impact fleeting colors trailer to celebrate the gacha RPG’s latest limited time event.
The big main event for Genshin Impact‘s current 2.4 update is the return of Lantern Rite. Much like last year’s event, Lantern Rite is a gigantic festival held in Liyue Harbor based on Chinese New Year. During Lantern Rite, Liyue Harbor is covered in bright lights, fancy decorations, and spectacular fireworks displays.
You can find the event’s animated cutscene below in the new Genshin Impact fleeting colors trailer:
Players can participate in the festivities by playing through a variety of minigames and completing special quests. Many of these activities award various tokens that can be exchanged for rewards, including Primogems, upgrade materials, Mora, and more. Other rewards include daily login bonuses, 10 Intertwined Fates, and a free 4-star Liyue character of your choice.
Lantern Rite also introduced a pair of colorful evening gowns for the characters Ningguang and Keqing, marking the second time miHoYo has added new costumes to the game. Ningguang’s outfit can be acquired by completing Lantern Rite quests and challenges, while Keqing’s is a premium purchase that will be discounted during the event.
Lantern Rite runs through February 12th. Because the Lantern Rite event is tied to the latest Archon Quest about rebuilding the Jade Chamber, you’ll need to make sure you are caught up on the game’s main storyline to be able to participate.
Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store and official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
