MiHoYo have announced the Genshin Impact 2.4 update is now live across all currently supported platforms.
Now that the Genshin Impact 2.4 update is now live, Fleeting Colors in Flight introduces some new characters for players to wish for. Update 2.4’s big 5-star character is Shenhe, a Cryo Polearm demon hunter.
Shenhe comes from a renowned family of exorcists, and is actually Chongyun’s aunt. Despite being a mortal herself, Shenhe has spent most of her life training in the mountains of Liyue under the Adepti. She is one of Cloud Retainer’s most beloved disciples alongside fellow 5-star Cryo character, Ganyu.
You can find a pair of new trailers for Shenhe below.
Shenhe isn’t the only new character available in this update. She is joined by Yun Jin, a 4-star Geo Polearm support character. Both characters are now available as part of the limited time character wish banner, The Transcendent One Returns. Other characters that receive an increased drop rate in this banner include the 4-star characters Chongyun and Ningguang. Alternatively, players can choose to wish on Xiao’s rerun banner, Invitation to Mundane Life.
There is a new Epitome Invocation weapon banner as well. This latest weapon banner features the 5-star polearms Primordial Jade Winged-Spear and the new Calamity Queller. The 4-star weapons in the banner include Lithic Spear, The Flute, Favonius Greatsword, The Widsith, and Favonius Warbow.
Update 2.4 features the return of the Lantern Rite. As with last time, players can participate in a wide range of activities and story quests to celebrate Liyue’s largest annual festival. Some of the Lantern Rite’s rewards include a free 4-star Liyue character, 10 Intertwined Fates, and Ningguang’s new outfit.
Outside of Liyue, players can explore the island of Ekanomiya. This final island in Inazuma is at the bottom of the sea, and contains the remnants of a lost civilization. Ekanomiya is full of new quests, puzzles, rewards, enemies, and bosses to encounter.
Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store and official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
