Indie developer Kelonia Games has announced FRESCO, a new ancient Egyptian art action-adventure game where ancient frescoes come to life.
FRESCO is in development for Windows PC (via Steam). While a release date wasn’t announced, the team said “the game is constantly evolving” as it isn’t finished yet.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:
In Fresco, ancient walls come alive. The carvings etched into the temple walls are not just decorations. They come to life, and the player can control them.
You alternate between two characters: an archaeologist exploring the temple in 3D, and a character evolving inside the 2D frescoes on the walls. To progress, you must switch between them to advance both characters.
Features
- Two interconnected characters: alternate between the archaeologist and the fresco character
- 2D & 3D puzzles: solve challenges by observing and manipulating the environments surrounding each character
- Explore Ancient Egyptian environments
