German developers Reakktor Studios (known for their sci-fi MMO Black Prophecy) have unleashed their crazy throwback shooter, TOXIKK, (starting to see a trend with overusing K’s) onto Steam Early Access.

Featured above, you can view the game’s Early Access launch trailer, which gives a brief look at the retro shooter – that’s right, instead of giving you tons of cumulative perks that give you the advantage over newbie players, TOXIKK instead opts for a traditionalist, arena-based approach.

There is no leveling, no regenerating health, no perks, no cover systems, no classes, no configurable classes, and lastly – no iron sight aiming. Coming from this, TOXIKK gives you insanely fast and yet precise movement (with highly customizable controls), secondary fire modes for each weapon, jump pads, health-packs, vehicular-focused game modes, tons of vertical gameplay, toggle-able mutators, and more. Of course, there’s also a bot mode, but that’s probably relegated for people who don’t have friends (just kidding).

The game is currently on sale for $17.09, a 10% discount from the game’s regular $18.99 price.
