Scott Cawthon’s Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has finally been given a premiere date alongside the first look at the new horror film.
The live-action film is coming just in time for Halloween on an October 27th premiere both in theaters nationwide and via streaming on Peacock – news confirmed by producer Jason Blum.
The first look at the film was also shared over on the official Blumhouse Instagram account – which you can view in full below:
“A troubled security guard begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.”
Universal Pictures is distributing the Blumhouse Productions-made film, which is directed by Emma Tammi and is co-written by series creator Scott Cawthon as well as Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is handling the killer animatronics.
The previously announced cast in the movie includes co-stars Matthew Lillard as William Afton and Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt alongside Piper Rubio as Abby – Mike’s little sister – and Mary Stuart Masterson as an unnamed female villain.
